About (Daniel Kleffmann);

Daniel has a wide range of experience and has worked on diverse art projects. Their research and academic background focuses on Art, Technology, Games and how they can be collaboratively designed for educational purposes.

They have worked in Europe and South America, have a rich and diverse cultural heritage and is perfectly fluent in English, German and Spanish, but are a nomad by heart. Curiosity keeps Daniel in a constant learning state, seeking to escape their comfort zones. Experience has made them a very capable and reliable jack of many trades with over a decade of experience.

In their first five years, they released almost 40 tracks on over 10 labels under their own name, the aliases Indeleble (duo with Branko Bojovic) and d’ni. They curated the content and designed the artistic vision for the digital label Carbono Music from 2012-2015 and produced original music for over 200 episodes for TV Perú (Canal IPe) in 2016. They exhibited installations in Valencia in 2017 and even produced music shows such as Femaletronica at the City of Arts and Science (2019), the Q-Tip Bandits performance at TEDxUPValència (2019) and the Black History Month concert at Berklee Valencia(2020). Lead Sound Designer for the Fuel Renegades video games in 2018, but have been designing and developing casual educational video games since 2017 for the City of Arts and Science in Valencia (Spain). In 2020, their game One More Chance received an honorable mention during the IndieCade’s Global Climate Jam. In 2021, a platform of educational games for space was commissioned and received initial funding from the Office of Astronomy for Development under the project CosmoAmautas.

From 2017-2020 they worked at the Berklee College of Music Valencia Campus coordinating and supervising students’ artistic co-curricular projects, and numerous institutional initiatives, such as the UN Senior Ambassador Program for the Sustainable Development Goals or the City of Arts and Sciences’ Summer School by developing short educational games and interactive workshops about Music, Sound and Science.

Daniel continues their research, as a PhD candidate at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, on collaborative game design methods for the development of video games that support STEAM education.
